BLOG JOURNAL #3

I feel very comfortable with most ELA technology standards. Since I grew up in a technology world, it isn't that difficult for me. They're very specific in what they want the teaching to each grade level. to be completely honest, I would not be opposed to learning any standards. I find technology a bit easy to use once I have learned to use it. My favorite one to use would be standard 2. Being able to teach the students about the use of technology and all that it can do wouldn't be to hard. Personally I would think they would know more than me. Since I want to teach elementary student I doubt they will have full access to the use of technology. I would try to help them in the social aspect instead and helping them learn to socialize with one another. They're at that age were they are trying to find out who they are and I don't want all their attention on a device but rather a way to truly communicate with others. Blog Journal #2 9/18

I have been using Microsoft word ever since Kindergarten. I still remember going to computer classes at a young age and learning how to type on a keyboard. We had to keep our left hand on F and our right hand on J and we were forced to keep our eyes on the screen or else we would get in trouble because we needed to learn faster. Funny thing is I actually learned how to type using Facebook and constantly messaging people through the day in middle school and adjusting to my fingers use the keyboard. It really does take practice but now it is just super easy and gentle. I've never not used Microsoft word. It would be weird if a teacher would bring their MAC to school and use that. My county only used Microsoft and pretty much so does everybody else in the country when it comes to businesses and corporations. I always used Microsoft with writing papers, doing homework, etc. My teachers mostly always used Microsoft in he or she's lesson. While reading '' The cost of copyri...

There was a time where computers were unheard of. If you wanted to research something you went to the library and found it yourself and read through a ton of books finding the perfect amount you needed, it was a long process and not needed, thank goodness. Now we have technology and computers that can take us wherever we want on the internet. Technology is woven into our society and there's no way we can turn back now. Technology has been a great deal in our personal life now in our professional life. There was no way of getting away from technology especially in education. Chapters 1&2 made a great point saying '' “ “ “Educational  technol- ogy  is  the  study  and  ethical   practice  of facilitating  learning  and  improving  per formance  by  creating,  using  and  manag- ing   appropriate   technological   processes   and  resources.” No matter what hap...
